Gabriele was a PhD student at the Computational Linguistics Group of the University of Groningen and member of the InDeep consortium, working on user-centric interpretability for neural machine translation. He is also the main developer of the Inseq library. His supervisors were Arianna Bisazza, Malvina Nissim and Grzegorz Chrupała. After completing his PhD in 2025, he went on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the BauLab of Northeastern University in Boston.
